Directions from Edinburgh

Leave the city taking the signs for the M9 Motorway.

Join the motorway and follow the signs for GLASGOW until you reach the GLASGOW/CARLISLE exit at the junction AFTER the Kincardine Bridge turn off, on the M876 motorway.

Continue on the M876 for about 7 minutes until the road joins the new upgraded motorway link, the M80 heading towards GLASGOW. 

You will see the famous 'Castlecary Arches'  in front of you and the exit marked 6A. This is signposted for Bonnybridge. You can take this exit although it is not marked for Castlecary. The road splits into two so keep to the left. Take the road to the left marked Bonnybridge and a few yards along there is an opening on the left, turn around and do a u-turn here. Head back along the road and over the motorway flyover, you will be on the B816. Under the arches and just a few yards along on the left is Castlecary Hotel.

You can also continue on the M80 towards Cumbernauld and it is clearly signposted for Castlecary. At the Old Inns Roundabout, take the 3rd exit, Castlecary is signposted.
